Cookies
What TravCrew stores in your browser and why.
Last updated: 5 November 2026
The short version
- Necessary cookies (to sign in, remember your language and keep you safe) are always on.
- Statistics cookies (Google Analytics) only if you accept them in the banner. Never advertising ones.
- Rejecting is as easy as accepting, and you can change your mind any time in "Cookie preferences", at the bottom of the page.
- Some preferences are stored only in your browser, not on TravCrew.
- If you pay, Lemon Squeezy sets its own cookies in the payment window.
The summary helps you understand; the full text below is what counts.
What a cookie is
A tiny file that a website stores in your browser to remember something, for example that you are already signed in.
TravCrew's cookies
| Name | What it is for | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|
thq_sid | Keep you signed in, so you do not have to sign in every time. | 90 days, or until you sign out |
thq_lang | Remember your language. | 1 year |
thq_pre | Security for forms before you sign in (stops fake requests). | 1 hour |
thq_oauth_state | Security when signing in with Google or Discord. | 10 minutes |
thq_hook_state | Security when connecting your alliance's Discord channel. | 10 minutes |
thq_return | Which page to go back to after signing in. | 10 minutes |
thq_season | Which alliance and server you are looking at. | 1 year |
thq_demo | The demo mode session (only if you open it). | 1 day |
thq_panel | Only for the TravCrew administrator: confirms they signed in to their panel with their user and password. | Until signing out (400 days at most) |
thq_consent | Remembers what you chose in the cookie banner (statistics yes or no). | 12 months (then we ask again) |
They all belong to TravCrew, only travel to travcrew.com and cannot be used to follow you on other sites. The ones about your session cannot be read by the page (only by the server) and, with https, travel encrypted.
Statistics cookies (only if you accept them)
If you accept statistics, Google Analytics 4 sets these cookies to count visits without knowing who you are. Until you accept they are not loaded, and if your browser sends the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, they are never loaded.
| Name | What it is for | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|
_ga | Google Analytics: tells visitors apart with a random number (it does not know who you are). | 2 years |
_ga_ZG937QQW9Y | Google Analytics: remembers your visit (the session) on TravCrew. | 2 years |
They belong to Google (Google Ireland Limited in Europe; Google LLC everywhere else), which processes the statistics on our behalf. No ads or Google Signals, and Google Analytics 4 does not store your IP. Statistics are kept for 14 months. What we measure and where the data goes: in Privacy, "Statistics".
Withdraw consent: "Cookie preferences", at the bottom of every page → Statistics off → Save (or "Reject"). We stop sending data and delete the _ga cookies from your browser.
Other companies' cookies
Only Google Analytics ones, and only if you accept them (above). Also, there are two moments when you are on someone else's page:
- When paying: the payment window belongs to Lemon Squeezy and it may set its cookies (for the payment and against fraud).
- When signing in with Google or Discord: you go to their page and their cookies apply there.
The cookie banner
The law (in Europe, the ePrivacy directive and the GDPR) asks for your permission before non-necessary cookies. That is why we ask you the first time: "Accept" and "Reject" are the same size, and "Choose" lets you see each type. If you choose nothing, nothing from Google is loaded. We ask again after 12 months or if we change what we ask for. You can use all of TravCrew even if you reject.
How to delete them
From your browser settings, or the statistics ones from "Cookie preferences" (at the bottom of the page). If you delete the session cookie, you have to sign in again. Without the necessary ones you cannot sign in to TravCrew.
